Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Russia

| Pyongyang, February 12 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was formed by the Lenin Young Communist League of the Russian Federation on Feb. 2. V. P. Isakov, first secretary of the league, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee set the celebration period from Feb. 2 and 17 and decided to organize colorful political and cultural events such as a seminar and film show in praise of the revolutionary career and feats of Kim Jong Il in this period. |
