Kimjongilia is the flower of the sun symbolizing the greatness of leader Kim Jong Il who made a great contribution to the country and the revolution, times and mankind and the flower in praise of the great man who enjoys the respect, fascination and trust of all people.

Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un gave meticulous guidance so that the Kimjongilia festival is held significantly with greater splendor on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star every year, and saw to it that a diploma bearing the smiling portrait of Kim Jong Il and a participation certificate were instituted newly for the festival.

A commemorative meeting took place at the Central Youth Hall on Monday.
