Nearly 7 Million People Visit Paektusan Secret Camp
Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- The number of visitors to the Paektusan Secret Camp is on the steady increase in the DPRK with the approach of the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (February 16).

Since its opening on February 11, Juche 76 (1987) after the restoration to its original state, nearly seven million service personnel, working people, youths and school children have visited the secret camp.

The Paektusan Secret Camp is a secret base which President Kim Il Sung built as a center for leading the Korean revolution and as a stronghold for ensuring the guerilla activities of the main force of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army in the latter half of the 1930s, and the sacred place of revolution where leader Kim Jong Il was born.

Preserved in the secret camp are the headquarters log cabin where the President stayed, a log cabin where Kim Jong Il was born and other historic relics.

All the visitors to the sacred camp have refreshed their firm determination to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche, which was pioneered in Mt Paektu, under the guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, keeping in their minds the revolutionary careers and immortal exploits of the peerlessly great persons.
