In this regard, Rodong Sinmun in a commentary Wednesday condemns the south Korea-U.S. war exercises as an anachronistic military action to spoil the atmosphere of improving the inter-Korean relations and easing the tension created thanks to the proactive measure of the DPRK and throw a wet blanket over the spirit of reunifying the country through alliance with the north among south Korean people from all walks of life.

A dramatic change is happening in the north-south relations just as every one witnesses, the news analyst says, and goes on:

The saber-rattling of warmongers at home and abroad, quite contrary to the Winter Olympics, clearly shows who is the harasser of peace on the Korean Peninsula.

The U.S. and the south Korean military trigger-happy forces must stop at once the ill-intentioned military action against the unanimous desire of our nation for peace and reunification and the trend of the times, properly understanding who is their rival.

If the enemies persistently block the way ahead of the nation, obstructing the improvement of the inter-Korean ties and detente, they will have to pay dearly for it.
