One early morning in January Juche 87 (1998), he arrived in Jagang Province to make an inspection tour of different units in the province despite of 30 degrees of frost.

The sky was dimming when he finished the inspection of a unit after giving field guidance to several units all day long.

Officials asked him to take a rest, but he went on his inspection to look around a minor hydraulic power station, saying that we should value time before sparing bones.

Having meals on the train, he gave field guidance to a number of units including the Pukchon Float Power Station, Janggang power stations No. 1 and 2, apartment buildings with electric heating in Janggang County and Jangjasan Power Station, covering hundreds kilometers that day.

Thanks to his patriotic devotion, a flame of fresh revolutionary upswing was kindled on this land and the whole country could wrap up the Arduous March, the forced march.
