Pyongyang, February 18 (KCNA) -- Celebration meetings, lectures, book exhibitions and film shows took place in Poland, Bangladesh and Nigeria between Jan. 25 and Feb. 7 to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army (KPA). Displayed at the venues of the events were works of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and books introducing the achievements made by the DPRK army and people in building a powerful socialist country. A Korean film dealing with the invincible might of the KPA was shown. Speakers at the events, including the honorary chairman of the Tradition Association of the Polish People's Army, said that the KPA is a world-level formidable army possessed of nuclear weapons and that nuclear force is the best means for national security. The Korean people have keenly realized through their historical experience that it is impossible to defend the sovereignty and dignity of the country and the nation without tremendous military force, they added. Noting that many military experts of the world are analyzing the factors by which the KPA has demonstrated its might as an invincible army, the chairman of a branch of the Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea said: The first factor is that the KPA is the army strong in mental power. The next is that the KPA is equipped with ultra-modern military hardware and outstanding strategy, tactics and war methods. The most important factor making the KPA display its might as the ever-victorious revolutionary armed forces is that it has had the rare brilliant commanders as its Supreme Commander. The participants in the events held in Nigeria lauded the exploits of the great leaders for strengthening of the military power, recalling that the KPA, the regular revolutionary armed forces which inherited the tradition of the anti-Japanese guerillas, was founded in the DPRK on Feb. 8, 1948. |
