Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- Nepalese and Nigerian personages paid congratulatory visits to the DPRK embassies in their countries on Feb. 1 and 8 on the occasion of the 70th birthday of the Korean People's Army. The chairman and the general secretary of the Central Committee of the United Socialist Nationalist Party of Nepal, the national chairman of the Better Nigeria Progressive Party and others placed bouquets and flowers at the picture of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them. Kamal Prasad Chaulagain, chairman of the C.C., the United Socialist Nationalist Party of Nepal, said that the feats of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for army building would always be kept in the minds of not only the Korean people but also the peace-loving progressives of the world. Goodswill Nnaji, national chairman of the Better Nigeria Progressive Party, said that the Korean People's Army, the regular revolutionary armed forces founded by HE Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, created the myth of victory in the Fatherland Liberation War in the 1950s by making the U.S. imperialists, who boasted of being the "strongest" in the world, doomed like the setting sun in the west. He expressed the belief that the army and people of the DPRK would continue to glorify the tradition of victory handed down century after century. |
