The United Socialist Nationalist Party of Nepal said in its statement:

We pay the highest tribute to the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, the eternal head of the Workers' Party of Korea, on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

He is a prominent leader who developed in depth President Kim Il Sung's Juche idea into the guiding idea in the era of independence and performed undying feats in accomplishing the human cause of independence.

He is a great guardian as he not only protected socialism in Korea, but also led the socialist cause of the world to revival and new upswing from collapse and frustration in the worst difficulties and trials towards the close of the last century.

His distinguished feats in turning the DPRK into a political and military power and a nuclear weapons state will remain long in the human history.

The Nepal Journalist Association said that thanks to the original Songun politics enforced by Kim Jong Il, the Korean revolution could advance along the road of victory and glory, adding that he would always be remembered by the Korean people and the world progressives for his exploits for the times and history.
