Minju Joson on Impertinent Interference of Outsiders
|

Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- It is an inviolable right of the Korean nation to use the Korean Peninsula flag in which Tok Islets are marked, says Minju Joson in a commentary Wednesday. It goes on: But the International Olympic Committee (IOC) turned down the DPRK's principled demand to the last under the unreasonable pretext. IOC's act does not conform to the mission of the international Olympic games for peace and international concord. Worse still, it is an unpardonable mockery and insult to the sovereignty and dignity of the Korean nation. Behind the IOC' act were the Japanese reactionaries. The Japanese reactionaries have left no stone unturned to block the use of the Korean Peninsula flag with Tok Islets marked. It is because their plan to pave the way for realizing a militaristic ambition will be futile if the tension on the Korean Peninsula is eased. What matters is an attitude of the south side which does not properly counter the wicked moves of the IOC and Japan. Its behavior gives disappointment to all Koreans as it has to read the face of Japan, a political dwarf, contrary to its oft-repeated "claims to Tok Islets". No one defends or presents the sovereignty and dignity of the nation. The south side should come to its senses, raise its voice for defending the sovereignty and dignity of the nation and categorically reject the foreign forces' imprudent interference in the above-said issue. |
