The bulletin carried an article titled "Birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il" and articles under the subtitles of "Mysterious wonders of nature," etc.

It elaborated on the mysterious natural phenomena that presented themselves on Mt Paektu at the time that Kim Jong Il was born. It went on:

Though the Koreans suffered under the Japanese imperialist military occupation of Korea, they regarded as a beacon of hope Mt Paektu where General Kim Il Sung was conducting brisk activities while leading the anti-Japanese armed units. So, the news of the birth of the Shining Star of Mt Paektu Kim Jong Il, who would carry forward the cause of Kim Il Sung, was the greatest event for the Korean people.

Anti-Japanese fighters couldn't suppress the impulse to make the happy news known to all Koreans and so they carved words on barked trees in the forest.

Leader Kim Jong Il carried forward the idea and cause of President Kim Il Sung without an inch of deflection true to the wishes and expectations of anti-Japanese fighters and the people. He enjoyed boundless reverence from the world progressives as a peerlessly great man as he glorified socialist Korea and dynamically advanced the human cause of independence.
