Celebrations, seminars, lectures, book and photo exhibitions and film shows were held in Romania, Germany, the UK, the Czech Republic, DR Congo, Benin and Nigeria from Jan. 31 to Feb. 16.

On display at the venues were photos dealing with the feats of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

Also on show there were works of the great leaders and respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and books and photos introducing the reality of the DPRK.

The participants in the film shows watched Korean films including "Kimjongilia".

The chairman of the Romanian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea said that the world progressives praise Kim Jong Il, who put his heart and soul into the accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche and global independence throughout his revolutionary life, as a gifted thinker and theoretician, extraordinary statesman and iron-willed brilliant commander.

The chief and members of the Hannover Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in Germany said that Kim Jong Il published many works through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities to illumine the road ahead of mankind.

Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events in the UK.
