U.S. Blasted for Derailing Inter-Korean Ties

Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) -- The Kwangju Regional Headquarters of the People's Solidarity for Sovereignty in south Korea held a rally outside the U.S. military base in Kunsan on Feb. 26 to condemn the U.S. moves to hinder the improvement of inter-Korean relations and resume the war exercises against the north, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Jaju Sibo.

Speakers at the rally charged that the U.S. is putting economic and diplomatic pressure on south Korea to spoil the improved south-north relations.

A statement was made public at the rally.

No matter how desperately the U.S. is working to stop the south and north of Korea from achieving reconciliation and unity, it can never check the advance of the Korean nation towards the reunification of the country, the statement stressed.
