The recent despicable additional sanctions farce staged by the Trump group is a gangster-like act aimed to totally check the legitimate foreign trade of a sovereign state, and another vicious provocation violating the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK, says Rodong Sinmun in a commentary Monday.

It goes on:

The wild act of the Trump group is nothing but a last-ditch struggle of those who sustained a bitter defeat in the DPRK-U.S. decades-long nuclear standoff.

The DPRK turned itself into a great power, world-level military giant looked up by the world, while resolutely foiling the U.S. most barbarous and gangster-like toughest sanctions and pressure with the might of single-minded unity and the self-reliance and self-development.

The U.S. must clearly understand the strategic position of the DPRK and behave with reason, thinking about an option that meets its interests.

If the U.S. and its vassal forces violate even a bit the sovereignty of the DPRK while clamoring for "sea blockade" and "cutting off financing line", that will incur strong countermeasures.

The U.S. has to stop senseless and thoughtless act and make realistic thinking and judgment suited to the trend of the times.
