Press Conference at Russian Embassy Marks Anniversary of Stalingrad Battle

Pyongyang, March 6 (KCNA) -- There was a press conference at the Russian embassy here Tuesday on the occasion of the anniversary of Russia's victory in Stalingrad battle.

Present there were journalists of the DPRK and embassy officials.

Prior to the conference, the participants saw the photos introducing the Stalingrad battle and modern armed equipment of Russia.

Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, made an address at the conference.

He referred to the victory of the battle which opened up a turning phase of the Patriotic War of Russia and gave a heavy blow to the fascist German invaders.

He then answered questions raised by journalists.

The participants saw a feature film of the Russian Federation.
