It was attended by senior party and government officials Yang Hyong Sop, Choe Hwi and Kim Su Gil, Vice-Premier Jon Kwang Ho, Chairwoman of the C.C., Socialist Women's Union of Korea Jang Chun Sil, women officials, persons of merit and exemplary officials and members of the women's union of ministries, national institutions, institutions and industrial establishments in Pyongyang.

Present there on invitation were overseas Korean women, women of foreign embassies and missions of international bodies here and foreign guests.

Choe Hwi, alternate member of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, made a report.

The reporter stressed that the women's movement of Korea is the Juche-oriented women's movement that was pioneered by President Kim Il Sung and has covered the proud course of development under the wise guidance of the President and leader Kim Jong Il.

The history of the Korean women's movement is closely associated with the exploits of Kang Pan Sok, an outstanding leader of the Korean women's movement, and the anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk, who dedicated themselves to resolving the women's problem, the reporter said, adding:

Today the Korean women's movement of Juche is ushering in the greatest heyday of its development as it holds respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in high esteem.

The Korean women's movement has taken only the road of victory as a revolutionary and militant movement generation after generation and prided itself on being an example of the movement of world progressive women.

The reporter called upon all women to make a positive contribution to glorifying the glorious history and tradition of the Korean women's movement of Juche and achieving fresh victory on all fronts of building a powerful socialist country.
