It is regarded as superior high-yielding method which saves seeds, labor, water and farming materials by watering paddy fields at regular intervals and using organic fertilizers.

According to scientists, it helps enrich the root of rice and promote its overall growth while strengthening its resistance to unfavorable climate conditions and harmful insects.

This method has been applied to croplands in Pyongyang, Kangwon Province and other parts of the country, yielding over 10 tons per hectare.
