Jozef Servista, first vice-chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association, was elected chairperson of the preparatory committee.

The committee set the celebration period from March 6 to April 20 and decided to organize various political and cultural functions including a seminar and film show to praise the revolutionary careers and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the personality of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un as a peerlessly great man in this period.
