According to data available, more than 8.4 million service personnel, working people and school youth and children from at least 54,000 units have visited the Phophyong Revolutionary Museum for over 50 years since its opening in April Juche 53 (1964).

At the revolutionary site in Kim Hyong Jik Township of Kim Hyong Jik County, Ryanggang Province, there are the statue of President Kim Il Sung and the monument to "Song of the River Amnok", the Monument to the Phophyong Revolutionary Site, the Phophyong Ferry, etc.

The Phophyong Ferry is associated with the immortal trace of the President who made the 250-mile journey for learning with patriotism in 1923.

It tells the history of struggle of the President who embarked upon the road of revolution in 1925, pledging not to return home unless Korea became independent.
