Imprisonment of Lee Myung Bak Urged in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, March 16 (KCNA) -- More than 20 civic and social organizations of south Korea including the Confederation of Trade Unions and the Solidarity for Social Progress held a joint press conference outside the Prosecutor's Office in Seoul in demand of the prompt imprisonment of traitor Lee Myung Bak on March 14, according to the south Korean Newsis. Speakers at the conference charged that Lee Myung Bak cooked up a large fraud related with BBK before he became the "president" and glossed over his crimes by dint of power. Scandals and crimes of Lee Myung Bak through power privatization were not confined to prosecution investigation, they said, adding that he sparked off uproar of the people through humiliating negotiation on FTA with the U.S., the import of American beef causing mad cow disease, etc. They demanded that the prosecution fully investigate into the power-backed scandals of Lee and his confidants and relatives and imprison him. |
