Present there were Chairman Ho Jong Man and Vice-Chairman Pae Ik Ju of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, Kang Chu Ryon, vice-chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan, Song Kun Hak, director of the Education Department of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, President Jang Pyong Thae and deans of the university, principals of Korean high schools across Japan, leading officials of organizations and enterprises under the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, graduates of the university, their parents, staff members and students of the university, and other Koreans in Japan.

Congratulatory messages from the Education Commission of the DPRK and universities in the homeland including Kim Il Sung University were introduced at the ceremony.

Chairman Ho Jong Man made a congratulatory speech.

He said the Korean University is the only university of overseas compatriots in the world which holds the peerlessly great men as its tender-hearted teachers and a glorious one which develops as required by the present era when the cause of Juche and the movement of Koreans in Japan have entered a new historic stage under the warm loving care of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

He expressed belief that the graduates would do their bit in the patriotic work as befitting reliable successors to the movement of Koreans in Japan remaining loyal to the guidance of the Supreme Leader.
