Japan Urged to Sincerely Approach Issue of Redemption of Past Wrongs
Pyongyang, March 20 (KCNA) -- Detailed data about the monuments to the sexual slaves for the Imperial Japanese Army being erected in different parts of the world continue to be posted on Wikipedia. According to it, countries building the monuments are on the steady increase including the U.S., Canada, Australia and China, to say nothing of south Korea. In the U.S. alone, such monuments have been built in eight regions including New York, Los Angeles, California and Michigan.

Kim Hong Hwi, a researcher of the Institute for Japan Studies, in a commentary contributed to Minju Joson Tuesday, said that it is the universally recognized understanding of the world that the issue of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army is a historical issue pending a solution and that it shows Japan's desperate act to evade the redemption of the past wrongs will touch off stronger rebuff of the international community.

As unanimously commented by the international community, the crime related to the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army is not an issue that can be settled with a few pennies, the commentary notes, and goes on:

No statute of limitations is applicable to the crimes related to the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army and this is a crucial political issue that has to be settled generation after generation until it is properly settled in the light of international justice and on principle of impartiality.

But shameless and naive Japan with a narrow-minded view on political issue, being elated after giving a few pennies, claims the sexual slavery issue has seen a perfect, final and irreversible solution only to enrage all people.

Japan has to clearly understand.

It is as foolish an act as trying to stop river with a rotten plank to gloss over the strong international demand for the solution to the sexual slavery issue.

Japan has to come out for the redemption of the past wrongs from a sincere stand, clearly understanding that it can never get rid of the responsibility for the crimes related to the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army.
