Pyongyang, March 20 (KCNA) -- Remains of people, who were killed by the military police and right-wing gangsters during the Korean War, have been continuously unearthed in south Korea. Remains of hundreds of people massacred by the police and the "Homeland Defence Group", a right-wing reactionary organization, between October 1950 and January 1951 were discovered under a dead pit in Jung-ri, Paebang-myon of Asan City, South Chungchong Province, according to the south Korean internet paper Voice of People on March 16. Bones of women and children were piled up on the spot. There were silver hairpins, ring pair, toys, buttons, hair, rubber shoes and bullets and empty cartridges of U.S.-made carbines. The murderers massacred at least 300 people for the reason that they helped the People's Army. According to the witnesses, 70-80 percent of those were women and children. After killing those people, the murderers did not hesitate to burn the corpses to cover up their crimes. |
