Javid Ahmad, director of the Administrative Department of Kuwait Times and chairman of the Kuwait Asian Journalist Association, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee set the celebration period from March 15 to April 16 and decided to hold diverse political and cultural events including a meeting, seminar and film show praising the revolutionary career and exploits of the President in the period.
