DPRK Children Prove Successful at Int'l Music Competition-Festival

| Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- Hong Ta Yong and Jo Mi Rae, children of the DPRK, proved successful at the 7th International Polish Grand Piano Music Competition-Festival dedicated to Fryderyk Chopin in Lithuania. Taking part in the competition-festival held on March 15-17 were excellent pianists from different countries including the DPRK, Lithuania, Poland and Italy. Hong and Jo, children of Kyongsang Kindergarten, were embraced in the 6-10 age group. They successfully played world famous musical pieces requiring high skill and artistic talent to win the admiration of members of the jury and experts. Hong received the prize for the second place and Jo the prize for the third place at the prize-giving ceremony. |
