Ivan Draxler, chairman of the Slovak Association for Supporting and Studying the Juche Idea and chairman of the Slovakia-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee set a celebration period from March 20 to April 20 and decided to organize colorful political and cultural events praising the revolutionary careers and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and introducing the achievements made by the Korean people in building a powerful socialist country under the guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
