In the message Kim Jong Un said:

On my way back after my first successful visit to our friendly neighbor the People's Republic of China, I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude to you and officials and people of the central organ and Beijing City who greeted us with sincerity and showed heartwarming hospitality.

Our first meeting at an important time when the socialist cause of the peoples of the two countries has entered the phase of new development marked a wonderful occasion that provided an epoch-making landmark for carrying forward and developing the traditional DPRK-China friendship as required by the new era.

Satisfied with the consensus of views that was reached on issues of mutual concern with you during our meeting and talks, I am convinced that the DPRK-China friendship, a valuable heritage bequeathed down by the revolutionary forerunners and common treasure, would as ever steadily strengthen in the interests of the two peoples.

I wish the fraternal Chinese people great successes in building socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with you at the core, and wish you good health.
