Abe Group's Confrontation Racket Will Precipitate Self-destruction: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, March 29 (KCNA) -- The Abe group of Japan recently asked the chief executive of south Korea to deal with the "matter of abducted Japanese", taking issue with the DPRK. Meanwhile, Japanese Foreign Minister Kono during his junket to the U.S. met U.S. Vice-President Pence and south Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyong Hwa to reel off a litany of invective against the DPRK, stressing the "need to maintain sanctions and pressure" upon it. Abe, at a graduation ceremony of Defense University, said that the firm stand on maximum pressure upon the DPRK would not shake until it takes "concrete steps". These are vicious and reckless behaviors that could be done only by the Japanese reactionaries accustomed to drawing water to their own mill by harming others, Rodong Sinmun Thursday says in a commentary. The commentary goes on: The invective of the Abe group is a revelation of the cunning intention to get rid of the tight corner by taking issue with the DPRK. Avarice blinds one's eyes. The Abe group rushes about to disturb reconciliation and unity between the north and south of Korea and meddle in the issue of the Korean Peninsula, behaving mischievously before the south Korean and U.S. authorities. However, it is the stupid behavior of those unaware of the trend of the times. The Abe group, vociferating about sanctions and pressure without understanding who created the present situation, should clearly know that its reckless confrontation will precipitate Japan's isolation and self-destruction. The Japanese reactionaries' persistent anachronistic hostile policy toward the DPRK would only invite bitterer denunciation and derision at home and abroad. Those keen on confrontation going against the trend of the times will never have a chance to visit Pyongyang. |
