Present there were officials of the DPRK Red Cross Society, young RC volunteers and other volunteers, officials concerned and members of the delegations of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross active in the DPRK.

Speeches were made there.

Speakers referred to the activities of the young RC volunteers for forest restoration.

Saying that planting trees is an important work for the future, they underscored the need to create many forests and take good care of them in order to improve the ecological environment and ensure the human's activities for existence.

The participants planted trees of good species including pine-nut tree.

The spring tree planting campaign of young RC volunteers will go on throughout the country till April.
