Present there were the north side delegation headed by Chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country of the DPRK Ri Son Gwon and the south side delegation with Minister of Unification Jo Myong Gyun as the chief delegate.

At the talks both sides had an in-depth discussion on technical matters related to the north-south summit and adopted a joint press release.

The press release specified the time and place of the north-south summit. Clarified in it was the fact that an agreement was reached on holding several working-level talks for its preparations and that other issues would be discussed by way of exchanging documents.
