North, South Taekwon-do Demonstration Groups Perform Together
Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- A joint demonstration performance of the north and the south Taekwon-do demonstration groups of Korea was given at the Pyongyang Grand Theatre Monday.

Watching the performance were Choe Hwi, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea who is chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee (NSGC), Ri Il Hwan, department director of the WPK Central Committee and vice-chairman of the NSGC, Kim Kyong Ho, chairman of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, officials concerned, sportspersons and Pyongyang citizens.

Also watching it were the south side art troupe including To Jong Hwan, minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and leading members of the Taekwon-do demonstration group.

The members of the Taekwon-do demonstration group from the south side displayed their diverse martial art skills and methods to the tune of music.

They satisfactorily performed Taekwon-do movements requiring high techniques with the use of attack and defence skills, including various attack movements and diverse defeating movements, to be applauded by the spectators.

The members of the Taekwon-do demonstration group from the north side perfectly performed every detail of pattern movements, exciting the spectators.

They showed well the might of our Taekwon-do through the demonstration of self-defense art by which they put under control the enemies in an instant by the use of refined techniques such as accurate attack, crushing and throwing down.

The members of our Taekwon-do demonstration group broke bricks, tiles, granite slates with explosive strength to be applauded by the spectators.

The dynamic group pattern movements of the members of the demonstration groups of the north and the south decorated the end of the demonstration performance.

At the end of the performance, the spectators waved their hands and warmly congratulated the Taekwon-do players.
