S. Korean Authorities Urged to Behave with Discretion: KCNA Commentary
|
|
Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities have been unhesitatingly engrossed in dishonest acts behind the scene of dialogue. When a "human rights resolution" against the DPRK was adopted, under the manipulation of the hostile forces including the U.S. and Japan, at the 37th meeting of the UN Human Rights Council on March 23, the south Korean authorities let a foreign ministry spokesman to express the stand to "join the sustained efforts of the international community for the improvement of the human rights situation in the north", welcoming it. This is an open political provocation to the DPRK and an intolerable act of chilling the atmosphere for dialogue. The anti-DPRK "human rights resolution" the hostile forces cooked up again is a product of the crimes and plot-breeding to tarnish the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK by going extremes to demonize it and, at the same time, to ratchet up international sanctions and pressure with it as a pretext and furthermore realize "regime change". The hostile forces have regarded it as a key leverage for realizing their hegemonic strategy to use the "human rights" issue for making interference in the internal affairs of other countries. They have also zealously used it for their anti-DPRK racket. Nevertheless, the south Korean authorities are chiming in with those forces. Truly dubious is the double-dealing attitude of the south Korean authorities who are calling for dialogue but trumpeting about "human rights in the north" behind the scene. Whom are they going to hold dialogue with and whom are they going to improve relations with while denying the dignity and social system of the dialogue partner? It is an anachronistic foolish behavior for them to still beat the drum of the "north's human rights issue" the same way as was done by the Lee Myung Bak and Park Geun Hye group of traitors for confrontation between systems and for anti-reunification policy in the past. As even Americans, who visited the DPRK, have praised it as a paradise for the people which can hardly be found in any other part of the world, Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses is advancing with firm confidence more vigorously than ever before. Shunning such human rights performance in the DPRK, the south Korean authorities dance to the tune of the hostile forces. Is their act in line with the precious atmosphere for reconciliation prevailing in the north and the south of Korea? They should clearly understand that slandering the human rights performance in the north, an act of getting on the nerves of the dialogue partner at the present time when everything is at the beginning, will be tantamount to an act of throwing a stone to the thin ice-like north-south relations. The south Korean authorities have to exercise special deliberation and behave with discretion. |
