Minju Joson Slams S. Korean Authorities' Anti-DPRK Farce

Pyongyang, April 5 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, there took place the so-called ceremony of marking the day of defending the West Sea in south Korea. The ceremony was held at "Hyonchung Cemetery in Taejon" with the sinking of warship Cheonan as a momentum. Heard from the event were very provocative remarks: "The West Sea is exposed to a constant threat from the north," "south Korea has not allowed even an inch of waters in the West Sea to intrude into and will not abandon it in future, too". On March 26, the eighth anniversary of the sinking of warship Cheonan, the 1st Fleet Command of the south Korean Navy staged a marine mobile drill with at least ten warships involved in the East Sea and the 2nd fleet incited anti-DPRK hysteria among its seamen in the plaza before the warship Cheonan exhibition. Commenting on this, Minju Joson Thursday says that such confrontational farce sparks off serious concern at home and abroad as it is an unpardonable provocation seriously harming peace and security on the Korean Peninsula. The commentary goes on: It is known widely to everybody that the sinking of warship Cheonan was a product of the Lee Myung Bak's group's scenario for plots, confrontation and war. Lurking behind such anti-DPRK farce is a cynical ploy to incite mistrust, antagonism and hostility among fellow countrymen. It is needless to say that very dangerous is a double-dealing tactics of paying lip-service to "dialogue" and "improvement of relations" while slandering the dialogue partner. If such confrontational farce is allowed to go on, nobody can expect the smooth development of the situation. The south Korean authorities would be well advised to properly face up to the reality and stop such rash act in the crucial times as now. A reckless act is bound to always scuttle a plan. |
