S. Korean Authorities Accused of Cooperation with Outsiders

Pyongyang, April 6 (KCNA) -- Recently there took place the 10th "security meeting" of the U.S., Japan and south Korea in Washington. At the meeting the south Korean authorities agreed to continue a missile warning drill and anti-submarine exercise and to "work hard to restrain the north from illegal transshipment of goods in sea waters," calling for "close cooperation to cope with threat from the north." The south Korean authorities' close cooperation for anti-DPRK confrontation provokes the dialogue partner and so we cannot overlook it, Minju Joson Friday says in a commentary. Needless to say, the 10th "security meeting" was the sinister confab for sustained military confrontation with the DPRK and sanctions and pressure upon it, going against the present phase of detente on the Korean Peninsula, the commentary says, and goes on: The south Korean authorities talk about "dialogue" but cooperate with outside forces for aggression behind the scene. This is the intolerable mockery of the dialogue partner and unpardonable challenge to the aspiration and demand of all the fellow countrymen and the international community for more favorable climate for detente on the Korean Peninsula. The south Korean authorities' cooperation with outsiders under the pretexts of "threat from the north" and "close cooperation" will result in helping the outsiders who are trying to draw water to their mill through estrangement and division of the Korean nation. Cooperation with outsiders leads to self-destruction. All Koreans should pool their strength to check and frustrate the moves of the U.S. and Japanese reactionaries so as not to repeat the bitter lesson of a stateless nation. The south Korean authorities should immediately stop all the acts harmful to the dignity and interests of the nation. |
