Speakers at the seminar stressed that the country was firmly defended under the guidance of Kim Jong Il elected as chairman of the NDC.

They noted that Kim Jong Il developed in depth President Kim Il Sung's idea of attaching importance to the arms into the Songun revolutionary idea and the Songun political theory and set forth the theory on the building of a socialist powerful nation, thus indicating a shortcut to frustrating the imperialists' high-handed and arbitrary practices and speeding up the victorious advance of the revolutionary cause of Juche.
