Tin Tun, director of the Myanmar Medical Research Institute, said that the world progressives together with the Korean people are significantly celebrating the 106th birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung as a holiday common to humankind.

He noted that Kim Il Sung is the peerlessly elder statesman who explored the era of independence and victoriously advanced it and is being boundlessly revered by everyone as he was possessed of noble traits, adding:

He made great contributions not only to the Korean revolution but also to the world revolution.

Maung Maung Naying, director general of the Myit Tar Moe Publishing House of Myanmar, said that Kim Il Sung is the greatest man who dedicated his all to the people's happiness, the country's prosperity and the accomplishment of the human cause of independence.

The director general noted that Kim Il Sung is the prominent leader who defeated two imperialisms in one generation, built the socialist system centered on the popular masses and thus translated the long-cherished desire of the Korean people into reality.

He said that Kim Il Sung's immortal exploits will always be cherished in the minds of mankind.
