There were celebration meetings, book and photo exhibitions and lectures in Mexico, Serbia, Benin, Angola and Uganda between March 22 and April 2.

On display at their venues were photos showing the revolutionary careers and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

There were also works of the peerlessly great men and books and photos introducing the proud achievements registered by the Korean people.

The general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico praised the undying feats of Kim Il Sung who founded the immortal Juche idea to show the road ahead of the progressive mankind and turned the DPRK into a socialist country independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence.

The chairman of the Serbian national preparatory committee for celebrating the Day of the Sun stressed that Kim Il Sung, a great thinker-theoretician, is the outstanding statesman of the 20th century.

The chairman of the Benin National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea who is chairman of the Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long Live Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader" said that the energetic ideo-theoretical activities of Kim Il Sung opened the era of independence, a new era of history in which the popular masses carve out their destiny independently and creatively.

Speakers at a lecture meeting in Angola said that Kim Il Sung is the tender-hearted father of the people who devoted all his life to them, adding his virtue and exploits would be eternally cherished in the minds of mankind.
