A memoir "'Reed Precisely Means Silk'" says that the President saw to it that the Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill was built and that he set forth tasks to increase the production of reed, raw material for fibre.

Some memoirs deal with the energetic leadership of the President who made a long journey for field guidance to provide the people with more affluent and happy life.

Others tell the loving care shown by the President for the living conditions of the People's Army soldiers.

The book also tells the stories that the President met an ordinary table tennis player to give her strength and courage to demonstrate the honor and dignity of the Korean nation in games and that during his foreign tour, he dropped in at the school where the war orphans studied and showed warm love for them.
