Elected as co-chairpersons of the committee at its inaugural ceremony were Rachmawati Soekarnoputri, chairwoman of the Founding Committee of the Soekarno Foundation for Education of Indonesia, Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the C.C., People's Socialist Party of Mexico, Damian Ogbonna, national chairman of the People's Progressive Party of Nigeria and chairman of the African Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People, Peter Woods, ambassador of Asia Pacific Region of the United Cities and Local Governments, Victor Petrov, chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, Yehia Zakaria Khairullah, vice-chairman of the Socialist Freedom Party of Egypt and co-chairman of the Arab Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People, Fumihiro Himori, chairperson of the Japan Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea, Anders Kristensen,

chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, and Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Solidarity with the World People.

And announced was the communique of the organizing committee.

A letter to the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the ceremony.
