Attending the celebrations were officials of the general association, including Vice-Chairman Cha Sang Bo, and delegates of its regional associations and branches, members of the Federation of Korean Economic Workers in China and the Association of Young Korean Nationals in China, Korean residents in Jilin City, officials of the DPRK consulate general in Shenyang, DPRK citizens working in three northeastern provinces of China, the vice-director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Jilin Province People's Government, the chief secretary of the Jilin City People's Government, the head and the party secretary of the Yuwen Middle School and other Chinese personages.

The participants laid floral baskets at the statue of Kim Il Sung at the Yuwen Middle School and paid tribute to him.

A meeting of the general association for celebrating the 106th birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung took place.

He recalled that Generalissimo Kim Il Sung liberated the country and built it into an invincible power dignified with independence in politics, self-support in the economy and self-reliance in national defence.

Noting that the Korean people are now fully demonstrating the dignity and mettle of Kim Il Sung's nation as they have Marshal Kim Jong Un as their Supreme Leader, the reporter called for upholding the guidance of the respected Marshal with a single mind of loyalty and filial devotion,.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

After the meeting the participants went round the venues of Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia exhibition and photo and book exhibition and enjoyed an art performance given by Korean artistes in China and DPRK citizens working in three northeastern provinces of China at the Songhuajiang Grand Theatre.

Meanwhile, the Yanbian, Liaoning and Zhongnan regional associations under the general association organized such celebration events as meeting of adopting letter to Kim Jong Un, floral basket-laying ceremony, photo and book exhibition and film show from April 8 to 14.
