Present there were An Tong Chun, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of the Unions of Art and Literature of Korea, and officials concerned, officials, creators, artistes, teachers, researchers and students in the fields of stage arts and art education and researchers, journalists and editors in the fields of social science and media.

He noted that Kim Jong Il systematically and regularly completed the idea and theory on the Juche-based dramatic art in the course of creating the five revolutionary dramas and established the creation system and method of "Mountain Shrine"-style drama and published the work "On the Art of the Drama" on April 20, Juche 77 (1988).

The publication of the work provided a powerful theoretical and practical weapon for making genuine drama truly serving the popular masses, and a sure guarantee for the Korean drama art to bring about efflorescence in its development, the reporter said.

He called for firmly defending and brilliantly carrying forward and developing Kim Jong Il's immortal leadership exploits and effecting fresh leap and innovations in the creation of dramas in the Mallima era.
