The festival which was held, being divided into political, art, sports and economic festivals in the period from the Day of the Shining Star to the Day of the Sun included a contest of youth explainers' agitation among officials of the youth league and youths and students and presentation of experience on reading march to Ryongnam Hill.

Also included were colorful art and sports activities such as students' traveling agitation troupe contest, schoolchildren art squad contest, Taekwon-do for health contest and volleyball, basketball and table tennis contests of students of senior middle schools.

Youths across the country briskly conducted mass movement including youth shock brigade activities, socialist emulation movement and youth march of science and technology at difficult and labor-consuming fields of building a powerful socialist country.

Pyongyang City came first in team standings.

A closing ceremony took place at the Central Youth Hall Friday.
