Regional Online Seminar Marks Day of Sun

Pyongyang, May 1 (KCNA) -- An Asia-Pacific regional online seminar for celebrating the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK took place in Jakarta of Indonesia from April 10 to 15 on the occasion of the Day of the Sun, the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. Attending it were personages of various countries in the Asia-Pacific region including Indonesia. The secretary general of the Indonesia-Korea Association for Friendship and Cultural Exchange who is deputy secretary of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea made a keynote report at the seminar. He praised the exploits of Kim Il Sung who founded the Juche idea, the eternal guiding idea in the era of independence, and thoroughly embodied it in the revolution and construction to turn the DPRK into a socialist state centered on the popular masses and rendered material and moral support to the world oppressed people in the struggle for realizing independence against all subordination and inequality. He noted that leader Kim Jong Il reliably defended the country's sovereignty and dignity and the destiny of the people with his original Songun politics and consolidated the DPRK as the invincible socialist fortress. He stressed that Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il firmly maintained the line of independence in the state building and activities and the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un is leading the Korean people to invariably adhere to the banner of independence. Looking back upon the course of development of the DPRK with deep emotion, the organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people in the Asia-Pacific region extend invariable support and solidarity to them, being convinced of the rosy future of socialist Korea to shine more brilliantly all over the world, he added. Speeches were made there. A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar. |
