Its opening ceremony took place outside the Weightlifting Gymnasium in Chongchun Street Tuesday.

Present there were Vice-Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Won Kil U who is vice-chairman of the DPRK Olympic Committee, officials concerned, sportspersons and representatives of the Olympic Council of Asia, members of foreign embassies here and foreign guests.

Speeches were made at the opening ceremony.

Then there was a run.

Sportspersons and embassy officials run 3 km course.

At its closing ceremony, medals and certificates were awarded to the participants in the run.

A press conference over the fun run was held outside the Weightlifting Gymnasium on the same day.

The secretary general of the DPRK Olympic Committee at the conference noted that the DPRK Olympic Committee would further develop the physical culture and sports in the Olympic idea and the noble sports spirit, and thus fulfill their responsibilities and role in turning our country into the world-level sports powerhouse.

A member of the Olympic Council of Asia, referring to the official fun run held in Pyongyang, expressed thanks to the DPRK Olympic Committee which made great efforts for the successful holding of the fun run.
