Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, was elected chairman of the organizing committee.

A relevant statement was released.

The statement said that the organizing committee was formed to successfully ensure the 6th International Festival in Praise of Great Persons of Mt Paektu to be held in Pyongyang and the area of Mt Paektu in 2022 that will mark the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, the 80th birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il and the 10th anniversary of HE Kim Jong Un's assumption of the top posts of the party and state of the DPRK.

It stressed that the organizing committee would actively conduct the work to praise the peerlessly great men and extend solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle for national reunification, in close contact with the international organizing committee.
