Attending it were officials in the public health including the Central Committee of the Medical Association of Korea, scientists and teachers and members of the delegation of the medical association of Koreans in Japan headed by Chairman Kang Gyong Bu and the delegation of Korean medical persons in the U.S. led by Park Kee Bum.

Kim Hyong Hun, chairman of the Central Committee of the Medical Association of Korea, made an opening address to be followed by speeches.

Speakers said that the symposium would serve as a significant occasion of putting medical science and technology of the Korean nation onto the world's advanced level and developing cooperation and exchange.

They expressed the will to keep to the patriotic road in the future, too.

Then there took place a lecture titled "The idea of thoroughly implementing the Party's policy of prophylactic medicine set forth by the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and its brilliant vitality."

The meeting heard papers on the achievements and experience in the development of the national medical science and technology and public health service and on the theoretical and practical problems.
