Institution of Law on Punishing Murderous Enterprises Demanded in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, May 5 (KCNA) -- A joint action group of south Korea composed of the Confederation of Trade Unions, the Federation of Trade Unions, etc. held a news conference in Seoul on April 25 at which it demanded measures against casualties caused by labor disasters, according to south Korean internet paper Jaju Sibo. Speakers disclosed that every year thousands of workers die of labor disasters and this is not occurring due to the carelessness of workers but is caused by structural murder of enterprises seeking only profits. A press release read out at the conference called for waging a more powerful struggle for instituting a law to protect the lives of workers and punish enterprise owners and bureaucrats for causing labor disasters. The organizations branded Samsung Heavy Industries as the worst-ever murderous enterprise in 2018. |
