The statement said that all the members of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico are sincerely pleased with the successful north-south summit held by the pro-active efforts of the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, an outstanding politician and great master of diplomacy, extending warm congratulations to him.

It noted that Kim Jong Un said in his New Year Address for this year that now is the time for the north and the south to sit face to face and candidly discuss the issues of improving inter-Korean relations by Our Nation Itself and bravely find out a way.

His words served as a spark of fire and have burst into flames of north-south summit today and in this way a series of measures for peace of the Korean peninsula were taken one after another stunning the world, it said, adding:

The world is witnessing a new era where not only the reunification of the Korean peninsula but also the peace of humankind are coming true.

The People's Socialist Party of Mexico extends full support and solidarity to the just cause of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people for achieving peace and reunification on the Korean peninsula.
