The statement said that they felt boundless national pride and honor, seeing the whole world happily congratulating the top leaders of the north and south of Korea upon having held the talks of significance in national and world history in Panmunjom and signed the Panmunjom Declaration.

It said that it is natural that the overseas Koreans should welcome and positively support national and historic event which vividly showed the whole world the desire and will of the 80 million Korean people for peaceful reunification.

Saying that the world has confirmed that the slogan for peaceful reunification the Korean nation put up is not mere a motto but the unanimous will of all the Koreans for reunification, the statement warmly welcomed and supported the adoption of the Panmunjom Declaration.
