Speakers there accused the LKP of playing down the successes made at the south-north summit and disturbing the efforts for peace and prosperity on the Korean peninsula.

A press release was announced at the conference.

It charged that the LKP is adding to its crimes, urging its representative Hong Jun Phyo to make an apology for his remarks about "Reds" and withdraw from the political arena.

It also urged the LKP's floor leader Kim Song Thae to opt for helping get the motion on the Panmunjom Declaration ratified at the NA, instead of staging a hunger sit-in.

At the end of the conference the participants launched a sit-in in protest against the coteries of LKP slandering the historic north-south summit and the Panmunjom Declaration.
