His election as chairman of the WPK is a revelation of boundless trust and reverence of all the Party members, service personnel and people for him, the statement said.

It noted that he has invariably carried forward the idea and cause of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il with his unbounded loyalty to them.

It said that he set forth a fresh strategic line of concentrating all efforts on the socialist economic construction at the historic Third Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the WPK.

Under his guidance socialist Korea is now further demonstrating its might as politico-ideological and military power, it noted.
